Est. in the year of the first resolution

Association of Former Ghosts

For those who have resolved their unfinished business and are navigating what comes next.

The transition from active haunting to post-resolution life is one of the least documented phases of the post-mortem experience. There are resources for entities still in the middle of their unfinished business. There are very few for those who have completed it.

The Association of Former Ghosts exists to fill that gap. We offer peer support, professional development, community, and a framework for building a life — or the remainder of one — after resolution.

Who We Serve

Our members are entities who have, by any recognized method, resolved the unfinished business that tethered them to a location, a relationship, or a particular moment in their post-mortem timeline. Regardless of the nature of that business — a confession, a farewell, a reckoning, a misunderstanding finally explained — resolution creates a new challenge: what now.

We do not serve entities still in active haunting. We are not a crisis organization. For entities still in the middle of their process, we recommend the Consortium for Ongoing Supernatural Activity (external organization; we maintain a referral relationship).

We serve those who have crossed the threshold of resolution and are standing, sometimes blinking, on the other side of it.

From the membership

"I resolved my unfinished business in 2019. I didn't know what to do after that. There's no manual. The Association was the first place where people understood what I meant when I said that."
